Sarah Gill - Equine & Canine Therapist
Sarah is based in the heart of Yorkshire at Tockwith in between York, Harrogate and Leeds. Growing up on the family farm Sarah has been surrounded by all sorts of animals from an early age creating an inevitable path the to the career she has now embarked on. From being popped onto the family sheltland and taken hunting Sarah begun developing skills in horsemanship which developed well through the York and Ainsty North Pony Club to go on to eventing, team chasing and recently rehabilitating her ex-racehorse to an eventer.
Sarah studied Animal Science at Newcastle University and graduated with a 2:1 Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in 2008. From there she went to the Oxford College of Equine Physical Therapy to study McTimoney-Corley Animal Physical Therapy where she qualified in September 2009 with Distinctions. During her training she worked at Hutchison, Dunlop and Baird Veterinary Surgery in Wetherby as a veterinary nurse assistant. This experience demonstrated how important the use of physical therapy can be when used in conjunction with the expertise of a veterinary surgeon to ensure the best possible treatment for the animal whether the animal is a canine or equine.
